This item is a copy of the commemorative issue of the North American Soccer League Oakland Stompers Grapevine magazine. The magazine dates from December of 1977, just before the Stompers first season at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The magazine features a welcome letter from the mayor of Oakland, talk about a rivalry between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Stompers, news from around the NASL, and action photos. The Stompers played just one season in Oakland before moving to Edmonton. They finished 12-18 and averaged just less than 12,000 fans per game.The magazine is in good condition with minor wear and is a fabulous add to any collection.
