Antique hardcover copy (edition and print number not stated) of Memoir: Gilbert Munger, Landscape Artist 1836-1903 (De Vinne Press, 1904). It was compiled by “a friend” of Gilbert Munger and assisted by his family and art critics. A extremely scarce collection of images painted by Munger, accompanied by a collection of the artist’s writings on the pieces, his life and on art in general. Likely privately printed for a group of relatives, fans, friends and art critics after Munger’s death. Some blemishes to green boards, especially to front cover along spine. General shelf wear around the edges with bumped and frayed corners. A few instances of split binding and spine leans slightly. Boards somewhat bowed and endpapers are creased/split along center as a result. Pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
